Bùi Thị Bích Chi: X-Comtor cùng đam mê sưu tầm truyện tranh Nhật Bản

Our lives will always be improved by our passion. Ms. Bui Thi Bich Chi (X - Comtors Manager) has been fostering a passion for collecting stories about Japanese paintings with a vast collection of story books in order to satisfy her curiosity about learning about and discovering cultures from throughout the world, particularly Japanese culture.

Manga (Japanese comics), which are connected to the generations of 8x and 9x, have always been seen as a gateway to understanding the way of life in the land of the rising sun. Chi has always had a fascination for Japanese culture and developed a passion for collecting Manga at a young age. She revealed: "When I was a child, my brother read me comic books. Perhaps this is why Manga impresses me".

She currently owns over 20 Japanese comic series. Since she sold a substantial amount of vintage manga when she went to Japan many years ago, this number is far lower than the total number of stories she has ever collected. However, 20 series of comic books are still a priceless gem and the dream of many manga fans.

When sharing reasons for persisting with the passion for collecting Japanese comics, she said that she was "fascinated" with the worlds created in each series. Every time she reads a new story book, she experiences something fresh and is astounded by the imaginative worlds the gifted painters have concocted.

Additionally, she believes that every manga book not only educates readers about positive human values and worldviews, such as lessons on justice, right and wrong, but also fun tales with cultural significance...

Chi must overcome several challenges in order to follow her passion. Ms. Chi stated that she, like many other Manga collectors, would typically encounter three challenges: the place of acquisition, the price, and the method of preservation. She said that it costs roughly 500,000 VND every week to invest in a collection of storybooks. In addition, due to Vietnam's hot and humid atmosphere, the series book is prone to mold and stains, making maintenance challenging.

She must therefore keep the story in a separate space with chilly, dry air and no sunlight. She also has to actively listen, research, and visit numerous locations in order to get enough full series because the source for purchasing stories is currently extremely difficult and not all bookstores have enough titles.

As you can see, NTQ-ers are not only dedicated to our work, but also extremely dedicated to nurturing and spreading our passion. Having interests outside of work will undoubtedly add color, interest, and great importance to each member's life.
