Do Hong Anh: "Despite his busy work, he still spends time with his small family in Japan."

As a "core" Bridge Software Engineer (BrSE) at NTQ Japan, Mr. Hong Anh is always busy with work, often has to come home late and return home at 20 - 21 pm every day. Despite the large workload, he always spends a separate time during the day for his family, especially for Min - his little princess.

Hong Anh shared that he had a hard time finding a balance between work and family. Sometimes, his busy work made him unable to spend much time with his daughter. However, he always sets a convention for himself: Weekends are time for small family and he always tries to maintain that.

He explained that during this time, he will mostly allow his child to go outside and engage in enjoyable outdoor activities. This will also give him a chance to unwind after a demanding workweek. He always gives choosing open spaces with plenty of room for play and physical activity a top priority because of children's hyperactivity. It could be a local park or occasionally a well-known location in Japan like Yokohama harbor, Enoshima beach, or Yamashita park. Thanks to his passion for photography, he enjoys capturing special moments with very “artistic" photos and images. He considers it as the joy of every weekend to be with his loved ones.

He said: "I don't want my baby to use the phone a lot since doing so would make my baby less willing to communicate with the outside world, which could damage the development of the baby's thinking. Additionally, excessive mobile phone use can increase a child's risk of developing eye abnormalities. I don't allow the child to use the phone because doing so generally leads to negative consequences.

Allowing my baby to engage in outside activities will improve her ability to communicate with the world and will better support her growth in the future. Me and my family prefer the sensation of "pack your backpack and go" rather than needing to make extensive plans. Because, it doesn't matter where you go, the important thing is to go with your loved ones and enjoy that precious time together.”

Working and studying for 8 hours a day makes us occasionally forget to set aside time for our families and ourselves. So make sure to schedule your time wisely and concentrate on finishing and managing your work well so that you may spend quality time with the people you love!
