Pham Thanh Nam - The past failed university and the path to becoming Director of NTQ Japan

Pham Thanh Nam, a young man who grew up with NTQ and became the Director of NTQ Japan, is the first face of a series of articles called "Face of NTQ". Stories about the journey to becoming the head of NTQ Japan will surely be the pride not only of Mr. Nam but of the whole NTQ team.

IT career is not Pham Thanh Nam's first chosen dream when growing up in a family where all of his siblings study business and economics... Nam also initially chose his dream. The plan does not go against the tradition of "Banking Academy". However, depression came to the "18-year-old boy" when he failed college. At that time, Nam blamed himself a lot and decided to switch to IT at FPT University with the determination not to let himself fall again.

Not wasting his efforts after his first failure, Pham Thanh Nam went to practice starting from the 3rd year of school and was in the top 5 people who were accepted to work early at a unit of FPT. Here, he began to fall in love with the characters that later became the core people of NTQ now.

At that time, his next dream was to become a BrSE bridge engineer between Japan and Vietnam, not a leader or senior manager. He thought that he had to do his best in everything he did and dedicate himself to being a "good" BrSE with the opportunity to work in Japan.

And then, since the day he "befriended" NTQ, not only BrSE, Pham Thanh Nam had the opportunity to experience many different positions: From Tester, Dev, BrSE, and even the days when the company was small. He also holds the part of Admin for the company. From the day when the whole company only had two desks until now, seeing the company's significant growth, he is proud to be a part of it. That's why it's "hard to stop".

After about four years onsite for BrSE position in Japan, he started wanting to find more challenges for himself to contribute to the organization. At the same time, NTQ Japan was established, and he returned to NTQ Japan in November 2017. Not long after that, Mr. Pham Thai Son "pinged" and said he wanted to give him a new challenge, which was the Director of NTQ Japan. “At that time, he did not have any pressure, Mr. Son sometimes had more pressure than him. Mr. Son at that time drew a lot of things and expected a lot, at that time to tell the truth, he did not fully understand. But now I understand, I'm doing it and I feel pressured (laughs)," - Mr. Nam said.

Officially became the Director of NTQ Japan at the end of August; before that he held the role of Deputy Director and, together with the Board of Directors of NTQ in general and NTQ Japan in particular, "drive", orient, and operate NTQ Japan gradually grew and developed, contributing and affirming NTQ's presence in the large Japanese market. Despite going through difficult and struggling days, the efforts were rewarded.

Currently, as the Director of NTQ Japan - the first foreign headquarters of NTQ, for the common goal of NTQ Future Flight 2021, he expects NTQ Japan to continue to develop and become a Sales unit. The main force for the entire Japanese market on NTQ has five branches throughout Japan.

At NTQ, we always appreciate talented and determined people. NTQ will always accompany every dream and aspiration of each member. Pham Thanh Nam is already a name with such "extraordinary" things!
