Three great CV writing tips for programmers

Employers commented that most IT candidates had not invested much in their CVs. A report from Resume Lab shows that 83% of a good CV can bring candidates to an interview. However, programmers do not know that an impressive CV will attract the attention of employers and other candidates.

1. Focus on skills

Programmers have very few minutes for the hiring department to impress their CV, so start by directing them to all the interesting things about you, excite recruiters about your experience. in your projects, and interesting things about you when learning C++, Python, Java,... in your CV.

The level you reach in your job to impress the employer. List the outstanding results achieved by the candidates, your achievements in each of your projects, the certifications you obtained during training or your boss's comments about your outstanding performance. However, remember, only mention the particular points in your resume; spreading it out will make the programmer's resume boring.

2. Focus 100% on your values

Let recruiters and HR managers know exactly what your values are. Choose the essential skills, skills to learn, skills to use the frameworks MySQL, VueJS, .. or the jobs that you learn the most, or the certifications of IT people that developers achieve by the programmer.

Tell them what's important and think through how they should hire you. Use your unique keywords (Java language, JavaScript, Frontend, Backend, Fullstack, ..) related to the position you are applying for and include them in your CV.

3. Thorough in presentation

What should be noted in a programmer's CV is that it is not rambling and concise but stands out for its values. Structurally, programmers can develop a compelling paragraph about your code's characteristics, the language and framework you're proficient in, and then two to three short paragraphs or bullet points in the text.

The body highlights your critical strengths, like hard work and curiosity. It includes your interest in oriented next steps like becoming a senior developer, full stack developer, project leader, or product owner.
