I. JOB DESCRIPTION

A. AI Engineering & Agentic AI Development

  • Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end AI systems for real-world business applications.

  • Build LLM-powered applications, AI Agents, multi-agent systems, and agentic workflows.

  • Develop RAG systems, enterprise knowledge assistants, AI search, document intelligence, and intelligent automation solutions.

  • Integrate LLMs, multimodal models, embedding models, vector databases, and external tools/APIs.

  • Implement AI evaluation, guardrails, observability, security, and performance optimization.

  • Optimize AI systems for latency, accuracy, scalability, reliability, and inference costs.

  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and frameworks and apply them to business use cases.

B. AI Solution Architecture & Product Design

  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions and product specifications.

  • Design end-to-end AI solution architectures, including models, data pipelines, APIs, infrastructure, security, and deployment.

  • Define system components, technology stacks, integration patterns, and non-functional requirements.

  • Design scalable and maintainable AI products that can evolve from PoC to production.

  • Identify technical risks, estimate development efforts, and propose appropriate implementation roadmaps.

  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Software Engineers, Data Engineers, and DevOps teams.

  • Contribute to product strategy by identifying opportunities to leverage AI for business value and competitive differentiation.

C. Presales, Bidding & Client Engagement

  • Participate in presales activities, RFP/RFI responses, and technical bidding for domestic and international projects.

  • Analyze customer requirements and identify AI opportunities, technical feasibility, and solution approaches.

  • Develop technical proposals, solution architecture diagrams, implementation plans, effort estimates, and project roadmaps.

  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations, solution demonstrations, and AI Proof of Concepts (PoCs).

  • Work directly with customers to clarify requirements, explain technical approaches, and defend proposed solutions.

  • Collaborate with Sales, Business Development, and Delivery teams to develop competitive and commercially viable proposals.

  • Assess project scope, dependencies, risks, resource requirements, and delivery feasibility.

  • Support customer workshops and technical discussions in English, including communication with Japanese and other international clients.

D. Technical Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead technical design and guide engineers in implementing AI solutions.

  • Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, architecture guidelines, and AI development workflows.

  • Conduct technical reviews and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.

  • Take ownership of technical decisions and proactively resolve complex engineering challenges.

  • Work with project teams to ensure AI solutions meet quality, security, performance, and business requirements.

  • Stay up to date with developments in LLMs, Agentic AI, AI infrastructure, and enterprise AI adoption.


II. REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • At least 5 years of experience in software engineering, AI engineering, or related technical roles, including substantial hands-on experience delivering AI solutions.

  • Proven experience building and deploying production-grade AI systems, not limited to academic research or standalone model experiments.

  • Strong understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, vector search, and LLM application development.

  • Practical experience designing and implementing AI Agents, tool calling, workflow orchestration, or multi-agent systems.

  • Strong software engineering skills in Python and experience developing production APIs and backend services.

  • Experience with system architecture design, technology selection, integration design, and scalability considerations.

  • Ability to analyze complex business requirements and convert them into technical architectures and implementation plans.

  • Experience participating in presales, solution consulting, RFP/RFI responses, technical proposals, or project bidding.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Fluent English, with the ability to lead technical meetings, conduct customer workshops, write proposals, and present solutions independently.

Technical Skills

  • AI/LLM: LLM APIs, open-source LLMs, prompt engineering, structured outputs, function/tool calling, model evaluation.

  • Agentic AI: LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, MCP, or equivalent frameworks.

  • RAG & Search: Hybrid search, vector databases, reranking, query optimization, knowledge graphs, document processing.

  • Backend & Integration: Python, FastAPI, REST APIs, asynchronous processing, microservices.

  • Data & Infrastructure: SQL/NoSQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, CI/CD, cloud platforms, model serving.

  • AI Operations: LLM evaluation, tracing, observability, guardrails, security, cost and latency optimization.

  • Architecture: Distributed systems, API integration, scalability, high availability, security, and system design.
